My name is Raffi Jamgotchian. I'm a graduate in both Civil Engineering and Finance but look forward to a change in career - to enter the IT industry for the long haul as a Software Engineer. I've had real world experience as a civil engineer, and briefly, as a geotech engineer, but none of those roles brought fulfilment. Additionally, I've never studied outside of my university coursework for neither of those disciplines. However, the opposite is true in this case as I've self-studied (and still am) the high-level language Python, its web framework Django, and a few of its libraries. When it comes to solving a problem on HackerRank, or even completing my first Python script, that's when I felt real accomplishment.

From building my own PC, to creating my first Python script, and now crafting this website (via Django), I'm excited to grow not only personally, but professionally, through challenging myself by pushing the boundaries on the daily. Always learning and not afraid of uncertainties, as anything can be adapted to. I've planned to learn the MERN stack next to develop upon my full-stack foundations, and will build a project to display those skills.
